Karen Stanley

Karen is an audit partner with our Firm. She has over sixteen years of experience primarily in the audit and other attest services area and has worked extensively in the not-for-profit and healthcare industries. Other specializations include employee benefit plan audits, HUD, trade associations and small businesses.

Karen currently serves on the Not-for-Profit Committee of the North Carolina Association of Certified Public Accountants. She is also a contributing author to the North Carolina Center for Nonprofits’ Common Ground as well as the Association Executives of North Carolina’s Success by Association Magazine. Karen is also a frequent speaker for local non-profit groups as well as at the annual state-wide Not-For-Profit Conference. She currently serves on the board of directors of The Hope Center at Pullen.

Karen obtained her undergraduate degree from Furman University and received a Masters of Accounting from North Carolina State University. She is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the North Carolina Association of Certified Public Accountants and the Triangle Benefits Forum. Karen enjoys playing recreational co-ed softball and basketball and spending time with family and friends.
